North Carolina Child Health Insurance
Over the years we have been able to save families hundreds of dollars in premiums by helping them purchase North Carolina child health insurance. This was accomplished because many employers that offer group health insurance have opted to only pay only the employees health premiums. Spouses and children can be on the group plan but the employee would have to pay the full premium for their portion of the coverage. Because the family portion isn't subsidized by the employer, this makes their premiums very expensive. Until 9/23/2010 we have been recommending that the employee remain on the group health plan and have the children and or spouse obtain individual health insurance plans. This results in the families saving hundreds of dollars per month in health insurance premiums.
